Why Early STEM

Early STEM introduces students to key engineering terminology, focuses on hand-eye coordination, and introduces students to manual programming. At such a young age, it is important for our students to understand key concepts such as: force, balance, pivot points, and so on. Students will build a robot, learn the vocabulary, and then experiment with their designs!

What Makes Early STEM Special

We strive to create the best learning environment for our students! This means high-energy, interactive activities. Key features of Early STEM include:

  • Learn through play
  • Nurturing curiosity at a young age
  • Experiential learning - figure things out by physically trying it out
  • High-energy camp atmosphere for young inventors and creators
  • 1:1 student to kit materials
  • Outdoor play at Claremont McKenna in a safe, supervised campus
  • Small camp sizes with a max of 16 students

With four weeks of camp, each week is unique and a stand-alone camp. This means families can take part in all four, or simply choose the week that fits best for your schedule.
